    PSX Region Detectors

Is it possible to check whether a PSX iso is a PAL or NTSC rom? I tried switching country options in ePSXe but it runs my games either way. Help. Or is there a chance that the games could be region-free?

No commercial PSX game is region free. Emulators don't really care much about regions, you should just leave region detection to automatic.

You can check the region by looking at one file inside the CD. If the file starts with SLUS or SCUS, the game's NTSC-US. If it's SCES or SLES, the game's PAL. If it's SLPS or SCPS, the game's NTSC-J.
