    bgb and linking?

    Hello,

I'm having some trouble getting the link function to work in the bgb emulator: Basically, I want to initiate a trade between two Pokémon roms, but it doesn't appear to work.

First, in one of the emulators, I go to Link -> Listen, and enter a port; then, in the other, I go to Link -> Connect and enter 127.0.0.1:[the port I entered previously]. And finally I go talk to the 'trade person', which prompts me to save the game (only in one of the emulators, though), but then it just says 'The link was closed due to inactivity' or something like that. Still, the other emulator keeps saying 'Please wait.'

Anyone have any idea as to what to do?

You can't enter a localhost port for both, AFAIK.

There is a similar thread http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?t=33001 maybe it can help... I've never actually been into the pokemon scene and thus never tried trading between different games etc, but it seemed to link properly

I managed to get them linked now, but now I get the message that the Pokémon I'm trading 'apparently is abnormal.' I guess this is more of a problem with the rom though, so I'll have a look into it.

    Thanks!

Got this kind of message when I was trading a "bugged" pokemon (read missingno).
