Isn't it Ironic (SF Rush 2049)

Kudos to the PJ64 (& 1964) team for making even commercial ports look bad.

Here was the Rush 2049 review for N64 at IGN.com:

"Note: Those wondering if the Dreamcast version is superior to the N64 one -- it is. It runs in high-resolution mode, supports online Ghost Saves and features an additional obstacle course. However, the play itself is identical and the N64 game actually holds up very well. Both are great versions."

Well with PJ64 I have Rush 2049 running at 1600x1200 with perfect sound (if you use PJ64 1.4 Azimer modified EXE). This N64 version on PJ64 competes with any arcade racer on the PC in looks IMHO.

With the new commercial port of Rush 2049 (Midway Arcade Treasures Deluxe), which is actually a port of the dreamcast version, I can only get a resolution of 640x480 and some graphics bugs, not to mention no analog control. No support with Chankast either.

So the "low res" N64 version is running with suberb graphics at super hi res. And the "high resolution" dreamcast version can only run at 640x480 on the PC.

try to run san fransisco rush 2049 with chankast....the original game, not the port

i donīt think that midway will support chanast....

ports always are not made very well, poor optimization and in this case you canīt choose the resolution
itīs midway fault to make an bad port
