    capcom vs snk2 loading problem

    hi, how are you guys?
i downloaded "capcom vs snk.7z" file 186 mb, and then i unzipped it, the archive was NOT corrupted, i extracted it, it contained only one file called "capcom vs snk2.gi" file
i want to know what is the problem with my cvs2 version. i downloaded "capcom vs snk 2.GI" file i converted it into bin/cue using "magic iso"! i have mvc2 too, i downloaded mvc2 in bin/cue format already, no conversion reqd. and i first load utopia bootdisk and then mount the cd image of mvc2, the emulator shows "0%" and THEN the deer or dog changes into strange color and game starts loading, and THEN suddenly, i see "1%" written at bottomleft side of screen, and then the mvc2 loads perfectly, but when i load cvs2, first i load utopia bootdisklike mvc2, and then i mount image of "cvs2.bin" like the mvc2, and the deers or dog's color changes like it does when it loads mvc2, but no "0%" shows on bottom when the color changes, it does on mvc2 though, and then a little while later, i see "0%" at bottom left instead of "1%", and then the emulator returns me to a page where i see four options

    1 play
    2 files
    3 music
    4 settings
    but game doesnt run

(i use same utopia bootdisk file for cvs2 and mvc2 is it ok?)

IF you want people to even start helping you, please use more periods and line breaks. :/

Have you tried booting the game without the bootdisc?

what a silly question! of couse of course, it shows an audio cd! that must mean that my cd is not self bootable, so i also tried to make a bootable image of same file and then mount that bootable image, but when i used that bootable image without utopia, the same audio cd appears, and when i use it after utopia bootdisk 1.2, it shows same thing, i.e, it resets to BIOS, maybe the only problem i think is that i may just have not converted that gi file
into bin PROPERLY, but then again, i can open the cd image after mounting and i can open the folder of dpwww and other folders like that, and i can see the character's images of both c-a-p and s-n-k grooves from there properly

What program are you using to mount images, Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% or perhaps something else? Or are you runnig the game off a CD-R?

    daemon

i use daemon tools as well as alcohol 120 %, regd ver. and i've tried both of them, anyways, the .gi file is 703mb and when i convert it into .bin/cue, it becomes 615 mb, but the mvc2 i downloaded is 250+ mb or maybe 215+ mb

Im getting the same problem bro, it was all good yesterday morning. Then a few hours later none of my games load. I tried using alco (registered) and daemon tools. Every time i use chankast this is what i get after loading it up

    1. Dreamcast symbol comes up
    2. Goes to system clock for me to specify time and date
    3. Goes to system clock again
    4. Dreamcast Main Menu
    5. Disk is only seen as a audio disk
    6. Every time i select 'play', it repeats the whole process

I dont know what i did but for some reason none of my games seem to work anymore and they all repeat the same process.
Can anyone please help, I'd be most greatful.

Your "dc_flash.bin" file is corrupted. Get another one and place it in the same directory as the emulator.

ok? what about me, everyone got a happy ending but what about me? how can i convert that .gi file into bin file or ccd or iso, i'll be mighty thankful to you, i think the following might be the prob. i have posted it also in thread like "i have 1st_read.bin instead of ip.bin"

"i have same problem too. the cd image, when mounted, in any drive, can be opened easily. but it doesnt load. i also dont have ip.bin in my image. rather 1st_read or something like that. and i am using xxx plugins, my mvc2 runs good because it HAS ip.bin, but my cvs2 cd image doesnt have ip.bin, i think that's why it isnt running. what should i do to make cvs2 run? i have also used utopia bd, but emulation resets."

    can anyone help me now?

hello, it worked! cvs2 is working! but there is one problem. how do i take 4 "ratio 1" chars? i am only able to pick three of those chars in start even in "ratio match" and one of them has to be ratio 2 and others as ratio 1, and another problem, the players sprites are little crappy, they appear as small boxes, haohmaru is crappiest of them all, stages are "almost" fine as they are, but player's sprites "stink" in mvc2, players sprites appear without any problem though, my mvc2 iso is in english, and my cvs2 rom is in jap!
