    PSX Question about PSX emulation

My PS2 broke and while it's being repaired, I'm playing FF7 on my PC using espsx.

Question is I seem to have hit a standoff. I seem to be able to have CD audio or accurate sound effects depending on which plugin I use. I have not managed to get both. Does anyone know of a plugin that can do both?

I suspect you're confusing terms because FF7 doesn't use CD audio (CDDA). What exactly is the problem?

For what it's worth, I don't recall having any problems when I played through with the Eternal plugin.

It has CD Audio on the pre-rendered Cutscenes. Also, other games do at all times so I have to switch plugins constantly to make everything work.

I try the Eternal plugin if I can find it though, thanks.

EDIT: the eternal plugin doesnt seem to do CDDA either

make an ISO of your CD to get rid of timing issues,

It does CDDA as long as the audio tracks are properly commented in the CUE file that you mount in a virtual drive. Also, it does read CDDA tracks just fine from discs too.

Correct. You could also use Mooby's image plugin, but that still requires a proper cue sheet.

However, the point is moot because FF7 doesn't use CDDA.

Another outburst like that and I'll kick your ass out of here. If no one's helping you with your particular problem it may be because no one knows the answer. It happens. Get over it, or get out...
