    Triforce Symbol Philosophy and stuff...

Where did Miyamoto got inspired to create all the myth of the triforce (not the zelda histories but just the triforce thing)? I just find this image in google and that makes me wonder that question. I'm very attracted by symbols and stranges images like this one below (not just in video games). I'm seriously considering getting a tattoo and I'm taking the triforce in consideration, not for being a Zelda fanboy, but because I was looking for some abstract images and after wondering for weeks the idea of the triforce came in my mind. My decision was maybe taken because I don't like the idea of non abstract images tattoos (like a rose, skull, a girl, demon, etc.). Instead of that I like the idea of symbols. And after all I like the stuff of the power, wisdom and courage philosophy. So where did Miyamaoto got all this ideas?
And other thing do you consider that after all this explanation would be really wierd to get the triforce tattoo? I'm considering a size of no more than 7 cm (no matter if I decide for the triforce or another symbol). And other thing, would you please look for this image somewehere with a bigger resolution and quality? (like 1024x768 or the best thing you can find) Please vote in the poll

the only thing you need to keep in mind is that you'll be having the same tattoo in 30 years... and it'll enlarge too... so dunno if the triforce would be a good symbol to choose... tastes are different thats the beauty of them. isn't it?

    That's incredible...

    BTW,
about Triforce Symbol, I searched some Japanese web sites. Unfortunately
I couldn't found about " Where did Miyamoto got inspired ".

BUT I found very interesting two things.

    1. There is interesting one shrine in Kyoto (Also, the headquarters of Nintendo exist in Kyoto) .
And that's shrine's emblem is same as Triforce form.

    evidence is here

    Good guess!

    2. Gunpei Yokoi created Game & Watch, Game Boy, and Virtual Boy at Nintendo.
His family emblem is same as Triforce form.

Family emblem that same as Triforce form is here.

But according to Miyamoto's interview from Japanese game magazine(64DREAM), these two things are coincidence. Miyamoto said "I knew about these things after Zelda's development was finished."

PS: Sorry,my English is not good.

I think a tatoo of a Triforce on you would be cool man. I have a super mario mushroom tatoo on my beltline, at an angle, above and to the side of my wang.

The Triforce is a symbol for many temples, the trinity seems to be a popular symbol having to do with divinity (even in christianity).
