    Question Sound problems

I did some searching on the forums and saw that this problem had occured and been resolved before. I have d/led Project 64, and have only one problem. While playing Doom 64, I noticed that the sound was somewhat "choppy" with the audio plug-in "Jabo's DirectSound 1.6". So I found out I needed to download Azimer's HLE Audio v0.56 WIP 2. I had done so and it sounded fine.

    ...until...

I got to the main screen. I noticed that the "choppy" sounds have been replaced by constant "clipping" sounds. I went into the Options menu and selected Configure RSP Plugin. I ensured "send Audio Lists to Audio Plugin" was checked. Still the odd clipping sounds. I'm not sure what I'm missing/doing wrong. Going through those steps seemed to work for another fellow that was suffering from the same problem, but it just seems to have made it worse for me.

Any help/insight would be most appreciated. Thank you.

edit: Perhaps it could be the actual rom itself? Maybe I need to get a better quality one... not quite sure.

if you got enough CPU power you can synch the game to audio at the properties of jabo´s plugin.

Well, I switched back to Jabo's Audio Plugin and decided it makes less annoying sounds... But the problem is unfortunately still there. I have also tried to sync the sound with the game, as per your suggestion, but it didn't seem to help. I have the system requirements by far (P4 3 ghz, 1 gig of ram, 800x ATI video, etc...) but it's still giving me grief.

    Any other suggestions?

In the meantime, I'll try and find that old thread that I was talking about that contained the same problem. When I tried the solution, however, it only made it worse.

Tell me if there is anything I can provide that may be of some use in this situation.

Again, thank you for your time and consideration.
