    MP3 ripping

Is there a way to rip the music and sound effects out of an N64 rom into an mp3 file? If so please dont simply say "yes" but explain what programs I may need and give a brief example of how.

You can do a simple wave dump using just about any audio plugin, then convert to mp3 with the app of your choice (I prefer LameDrop). If you actually want to "rip" audio, you could study the USF format. From that you can convert to wave (Winamp's wave writer plugin is at least one method) then to mp3.
