    video problems

i have a somewhat annoying problem....

whenever i switch from windowed to full screen my computer locks up. i am not sure why this is happening. i can play windowed fine and i can play games full screen in other emulators such as zsnes and kega, but i cant in pj64. i have an older computer and an updated graphix card.

    processor: amd athlon 1200
    o/s: windows xp sp2
graphix: PNY GeForceFX 5200 128MB AGP
    ram: 768 mb

    thanks for any suggestions

well those are 2d ddraw emulators not d3d.. check your have updated drivers and directx. its definately a system problem of some kind, you could try anotehr video plugin.. start by trying the d3d6 v1.5.2 plugin.

I think you should do something weird and roll back your video card drivers to version 71.84.
It's the last driver version that works fine with my nvidia geforce 6800. Or you should set the full screen resolution option exactly the same as your desktop setting e.g. 1024 x 768 ( if that's the case ) and it would be good to mantain the same refresh rate ( for example 75 Hertz ). this way the video card would get an easy job switching between full screnn and windowed.
    it works for me....

@q_armando: i do have my full screen resolution set the same as my monitor resolution. i have not tried rolling back the drivers yet.

i tried the jabo 1.5.2 video plugin and it seems to work fine now.

thank you both for the help and suggestions.
