    golden sun transfer data problem

So, I want to transfer my data from golden sun1 to golden sun2, but when I press R+left+START, nothing happens... I have also tried R+left+B, R+L+left+START and R+L+left+B, nothing works!

I use VBA 1.8, can it maybe be my rom file that is causing all the trouble?

Hope you guys can help me out here!

No it's not the rom, as I had that problem too, it's something to do with the way you press the button combos. Oh and sorry, but I can't remember what I did to get it to work.

hmm, i don't where did I get this, and i haven't tried by myself.
When you turn on the Game Boy Advance with Golden Sun, hold LEFT and R
until the title screen appears. Press Start to access the menu screen.
Release LEFT and R. There will be a new option, Send. An easier way to do
this is to let the menu screen load normally, then hold LEFT and R and
press Start. This will reload the menu screen and should add the Send
option. The Send icon will be on the right side of the row of icons.
To view the passwords choose the Password option after choosing Send. The
Gold password (6 pages long) contains all the Djinn data, character stats
and levels, items, and coins. The Silver password (2 pages long) contains
the Djinn data, character stats and levels. The Bronze password (2 lines
long) only has the Djinn data and character levels. You are better off
transferring using the link option if you have 2 GBAs or a friend with a
    GBA and the link cable.
    does it work?

Yeah that's the way to do it. I just tested it out on my GBA and it's really simple.

First you gotta complete the game, and just hold Left + R and press Start on the title screen.

You can even do that in the mode select screen, by pressing B to refresh the screen.
