    DC One Year And Nothin.

I was a huge fan last year when i got my hands of the first ver. of Chankast. I was part of the 80people who would fill these forums and talk for hours on end. I loved when they would release beta after beta with fixes to improve the emulation experience. But that was a year ago. I respect the team for what they have done but i think it time for them to go open-source and get others involed to speed up the process. Im no programmer but promise of new releases and improvements i think its time to put up or shut down.

*Keep in mind this is just the opinion of one dissapointed fan and i hope the rest feel the same.

Oh boy, another person complaining about not getting what he paid for. Well, just get yourself a refund then. Mreh, I'm tired of posts like this.

One good reason not to go open source is that then you don't get a bunch of half-working "improved" ports floating around the internet with little or no technical support, and don't give credit to the original devs.

I don't mind the wait myself, having just recently found the emulator, so all of its features seem quite new to me. But if I had to wait a year before the next release, I would, because that would mean that it's getting done right. They're not rushing it, and they're not open-sourcing it so that they can stick to their goals. However long it takes to get there is fine by me. I've waited longer for other programs before.

no one is complaining. people like you are really disconnected from reality. someone states there opinion on how progress could be achieved. your a fool to posture yourself that way. at this point you should question the lack of communication.

other guy half working emu's? these devs are good, but not the only ones who can code

    yes, lets wait....

You can't tell that the original post in this thread is pure complaints? O.o I am not as far off of reality as yourself. I can understand that the emu developers are nobody's slaves, and thus I don't make any attempts to bitch/whine/moan/complain about the year that has gone by without progress. Those that feel justified in making threads like this (and the people who back them up) seem to have forgotten that nobody OWES them anything. They write these emulators as a hobby, and then give it away. If we never see anything from the Chankast team, would you not appreciate what they have given us so far? I would say I am. Just a suggestion: Think BEFORE you post.

now a name in green thinks they should keep it a secret. because someone posted something they didnt agree with.

isnt that a little too sensetive? childish?

the devs are mature and stable. use them as role models please.

i havent read too many threads like these where people state they owe them anything. no one thinks that.

...but in every one there is some guy with a 1000 posts immedeiately there to jump down your throat. maybe its time for the confusion to stop. its time for a little communication.

chankast was great. was. its over. i hope everyone can find something else to look forward too. there will be other emu's better emu's.

if you cant let go a DC is 15 bucks away!

I notice you still didn't take my advice about thinking before posting. You should know that the "name in green" falcon4ever is a beta tester, thus he assists devs. So what you basically told him was to ask the people he helps to be a role model. O.o
Note: not taking anything away from F|RES, ector or any of the other authors. Just filling this guy in on the facts.

Opensourcing an emuproject doesn't always improves the emu, jojo.
Anyone remembers what happend when pj64/dolwin became opensourced? ...

    /me agrees on this:

And besides jojo, since the emu isn't your property you shouldn't ask it to opensource, that's just not kind.
