How can I configure the most recent Rice's plugin (6.1 I think) So the image doesn't flicker? Thanks so much.

Just use Glide64

Thanks for answering! I tried, but it doesn't work for me. The image appears distorted and in reddish tones, and then the game freezes when I try to load the saved game (not the save state). It's strange![]()
In that case, it will help if you post your system specifications. Particularly, if you do not have a Voodoo card, have you made sure that you have a glide wrapper (it's one file; named 'glide3x.dll,' and it has to be in your emulator's main directory)? If you don't have a glide wrapper and your video card isn't a Voodoo, then Glide64 will not work properly. If you downloaded the newest version of Glide64 - 0.8 - then a working glide wrapper should be somewhere in there (it's included in the .zip), but again, it has to be in the main directory.
Thanks for clarifying that I had to put the glide wrapper in the main directory, I was doing that wrong. Okay, so now the game loads and it doesn't appear reddish, but the graphics quality is much poorer, and I don't know how to configure Glide64 so it shows cleaner graphics...besides, it gives slight "jumps" from time to time as Rice's plugin's did (sorry about the poor english, not my mother language). The game seems to run worse since the end of chapter one (I had to change something in the emu because of the error that comes after Peach's scene, but even after changing it back, it still runs worse)
System specs? Not sure about what info you want... just ask for more if I don't say what you need :
Pentium 4 at 3.20 ghz, 1 gb of RAM
Graphics card : ATI radeon 9200
Sound Card : Soundblaster
These are probably the most important and relevant answers to the question of whether or not it's hardware-related. I can see that it isn't (unless you've got bad drivers or something). A Radeon 9200 has both T&L support and pixel shader capabilities, so it's more likely your settings.Originally Posted by Arella
Could you clarify this? Aside from the fact that there will be many differences between two video plugins, and that graphics quality is mainly subjective, this isn't clear enough for anybody to diagnose. A screenshot, maybe?Originally Posted by Arella
I don't know what you mean here. I guess you don't mean flicker, cause there's none of that in Glide 64 0.8.Originally Posted by Arella
Huh? I don't know what to say to this. You're saying that you got an error during the one of the intermission scenes, changed a setting to fix it, and now the game runs slowly? On your system the game should be running pretty much at 100%, anyways. I think you should clarify this, too. Also maybe point out the setting that fixed your error. You are using Project64, right?Originally Posted by Arella
Okay, I fixed the problem with the setting, I changed everything back and the game runs fine again. I played around with Glide and now everything is fineThanks for helping!
