This is of course not true. When talking about bits, like 64bit processor, they tend to refer to the size of the registers, the actual data is can handle and more. For example, the 64bit athlon has 64-bit registers, which makes the processor able to process 64-bit integers without splitting them into two registers. A processors speed does not become solely on mhz. For 64bit, it can process more data per cycle basically.
