Unhappy N-rage and Jabo Controller plug-in problems

Just the other day, i experienced a problem when setting the controls for a 3 player game of smash brothers. Since i had to connect 2 more controllers, i had to set the buttons.

In case it matters, I was using:
    1) Wingman Cordless
    2) Eliminator Aftershock
    3) Wingman Rumblepad (not wireless)

I had no problem with the Eliminator, but when i was setting controls for the wingman rumblepad, it wouldn't let me choose the buttons. It would just have Z- pop up. No 10-second timer or anything. So I had to use N-rage.

The problem with N-rage. I can't get Mem Paks to work with it and i have saved stuff on mem-paks. I don't know why it won't work. When I start up a game, it says, "Cannot open/create Mempak file....."

    Can anybody help me out?

    *EDIT*

I just tried making a shortcut on N-rage. It blinked the words Press Key and then disappeared. That won't work either.

for the wingman rumblepad, put the throttle (the slider on the right side) dead in the middle, it's probably to the right or the left now. If it is to the right or left, you won't be able to select buttons...

Well, what you said worked for the Wireless one, but i had to push the other one all the way to the left. Weird, huh.

I have had problems like this when playing, for example, GTA III. The camera keeps spinning, and i have to move the throttle to the middle.

Does anybody have answers to my N-rage questions now?

Under the controller pak tab, disable raw data.

    Thanks man, it worked!!!!

    Now only two more questions.

Why can't I make shortcuts to anything with N-rage?
    and
Is it possible to make it so that when you select rumble, it turns on raw data and when you select mem pak, it turns off raw data? (I really only need the answer to this if somebody can help me get shortcuts working)

A note about raw mode and how it relates to mempaks. By default, the emulator will handle the creation of mempak files. A new file will be created for each game that uses mempaks. When you enable raw mode in N-Rage's plugin, the plugin handles the mempak. This works more like an N64, using a single file (mempak) for all of your games (or, at least as many as will fit in 123 pages). This makes mempak files fully compatible from one emulator to another, provided that you're using N-Rage's plugin with each emulator. In order to use N-Rage's raw mode, you first have to create a mempak file. Click the New MemPak/Browse button and create a file in any directory (generally, the emulator's "save" directory) and with any name you wish. The plugin will then use that file to save mempak games. If you reach the capacity for that pak, you can create another, and as many more as you need.

Knowing all that, you could leave raw mode on. As to your shortcut problem? Sorry, I don't know what's going on there.

I'm not gonna bother with that. I already have a whole load of saved mempak files from using Jabo. Now if we could get shortcuts and Rumble on Jabo..... Hmmmmmm.
