Now I was on about last month about Linux, and was interested in using that instead of windows, but now, i think i might change to Mac 10.4 Tiger. Now here's what im not sure about, could i completely format me hard drive and install Tiger on the computer, or would I have to sell the whole computer and buy a Mac?

You'll need a Mac... if you're strapped for cash, check out a Mac Mini perhaps.
