    texture enhancements

    Hi,

there are some video plugins out that support 2xSaI / hqNx. For small textures and unblurred fonts, these filters improve quality a lot. But some people often complain that other textures (sky, field, ...), mostly the big textures, get worse this way.

Now on the hqNx page there is also another project, called SmartFlt. It seems to adress this issue (use hqNx-alike filtering on edges, and bilinear filter for the rest of the texture).

Here's the page, it has a sample image that looks very promising. Has anyone ever tried applying that technique to N64 emulation? Any GFX plugin developers around who want to give it a try?
