Does your Aiwa have auxiliary inputs? If so you need a 3.5mm stereo minijack to stereo RCA cable.

If your stereo has a 5.1 channel analog input(6 RCA plugs) then you need 3 of those cables(front L/R, rear L/R, Center/Sub).

I have my system connected to a 5.1 receiver, games sound nice that way

For plain stereo from the computer, you take the cable, run it from the speaker out, to the auxiliary in on the stereo. For 5.1, your stereo would need an analog 5.1 input(6 jacks), and a sound card that supports 5.1(SB Live 5.1, SB Audigy, a few others). You would take 3 of those cables mention, from one from the front speaker out, one from the rear speaker out, and one from the center/sub out, all to the right inputs on the stereo.
