    PSX Playstation ISO's

I was wondering if I could change the names of my PSX ISO's without having it have adverse effects on like how the game runs. I wasn't sure if I could change the names of the files because there's 3 files for each ISO ( .ccd, .sub)...
By the way, what are the .ccd and .sub files?

.sub = subchannel data...as I recall, a handful of games require it to function properly when emulated, but I've never had to muck about with it.
.ccd = created by CloneCD if I remember correctly, used for burning the image (with CloneCD) and mounting in virtual drives. In fact, it may just be CloneCD's version of a cue file.

That's all off the top of my head. If you use the "Run ISO" function in ePSXe you'll need only the image file itself, and it doesn't matter what you name it.

You can always mount the image using daemon tools, alcohol 120%, nero imagedrive, etc... or go to a pawn shop/gameswap and pick up PSX CDs and play them through your CD/DVD-ROM drive which is what I do

so like, the game will be able to find its 'sub-channel' file even if the sub-channel has a changed name?

At worst you will have to change the name back, so try it. You won't damage it.
There are 100 types of people in the world, those who understand binary, those who don't, those who steel other peoples signature ideas and those that can't spell 'steal'.

Look at the P.E.Op.S. CDR driver and you'll understand how it uses the subchannel data. Like I said though, only a handful of games (all PAL I believe) need the subchannel data, so you can probably ignore the whole thing.
