Alien Zelda - OoT: Can't see water :(

I've been playing Ocarina of Time on PJ64 version 1.4 and I just got version 1.5, but now I can't see water or the vines that you can clime. These are the video plugins I've tried:
    Jabos Direct3D6 1.5
    Rice's Video Plugin 6.1.0

I've tried to fix it by changing the 'rendering device' from 'Direct3D HAL' to 'RGB Emulation' and I could see the water, but the game was really laggy... like unplayable.

That's a problem of your video card... Either stick to Jabo's 1.4 or buy a new video card. You can also try to update your video card drivers.

Are you positive its a problem with my video card?? 'Cause I could see the water in PJ64 version 1.4's default plugins, but then my 'Quest Status' screen was glitchy (like where it shows Link standing there beside the shields, boots, and tunics). Also, I can see the water with Rice's whatever the crap, but then the 'Quest Status' screen is glitchy again.

...isn't there like a setting that I can change for it to show the water?

Sorry for the repeat posts but I've been going around the forum and found a similar problem that my problem might be confused with... the water in my game isn't opaque, it simply dosen't show up... like i can swim in it and stuff and see the bottom
By the way my video card is: Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controler if that helps any
    PS.
Just found the 'edit' button (lol, whew... not 'spose to drink the bong water, eh?)

Intel graphics don't support certain features Jabo's plugin requires, so you get these glitches that don't appear on an above spec stand-alone graphics card. Jabo's D3D7 1.40 works better than 1.5 with below spec cards. The best solution is to buy a separate graphics card and then more plugins will all work properly.

Ah, the good ol' Intel Graphics Controller.

I have that card and the invisible water problem as well. You could try Glide64 + eVoodoo or RiceVideo, but don't expect everything to look great. I'm afraid that you'll have to accept the fact that Intel Graphics Controllers weren't exactly designed with the gamer in mind.

That's weird because, I have the same Intel graphics controller, and when I first installed PJ64 v1.5, I could see the water just fine. But some time ago, my computer installed the update for the graphics controller so that RCT 3 and TS2 would work better. Well, now I get the issue of the water being invisible. I'm going to try Jabo's 1.4 plugin, but I'd really rather use the plugins I have now.

Does anyone know if there are gonna be any updates to the PJ64 any time soon? Maybe the developers could figure out what the issue is and fix it in an update?

Yeah, I guess I just have to deal with the glitchy Quest Status screen, 'cause when I use the Jabo's plugin I can see everything just fine except Link is all screwy looking in the menu (like he looks like a bunch of Hyrule shields and like little square boxes)
Whatever I'll get a new video card one of these days (I have a feeling mine is going to burst... I've forced it to run Half Life 2, lol)

No, there are no planned updates to jabo's gfx plugin. This "issue" is not an issue, rather by design. The intel card is simply too bad to handle the power wielded by the plugin, to put it in simple terms. That card sucks for most everything, anyway. I feel sorry for anyone being stuck with such a card. I'd recommend buying a new card--any card. A geforce2 or something might do just fine with jabo's, yet very cheap.

Well, my dad's promised me if I graduate from college with my degree, he'll buy me a new graphics card, preferably an ATI Radeon 9600. Course, by the time I graduate this coming May, the prices may have dropped on some of the more impressive cards, like the 9800. Either way, I've only got to wait a couple more months.

I have noticed though that if I run Mupen with it, the graphics are fine, but there's no sound...

Well how can the problem be with my graphics card when I can see the water still only with a different plugin? I mean, my video card sucks ass I know, but the n64 isn't really that demanding.
