    InsertDisk...

    Im trying Chankast for the first time so i went otu and bought a
    Dreamcast game, Street Fighter III 3rd Impact.
    I seledt run and the bios flash, then it goes to the audio cd player,
    When i move out to the play option all i get is "Insert Disc"
    i have selected the aprropriate drive and i have aspi layers installed,
    (though i do not know if theyre correct?)
    Any help i will thank

    Simple you need to rip the game to the pc and make it selfbootable,chankast isn't able to read the regular dics(aka store bought legal ones).

    Ummm, actually, it's a bit more complicated than just using Nero (or any other CD burning app on a PC). All original DC games are burned on a proprietary designed disc (meaning nobody else but Sega used those types of discs). They are technically referred to as GD-ROM's (GD meaning gigabyte disc). They hold about a gig of info (300 megs more than a standard CD). Thus, the only ways of extracting the data are either by using a coders cable and an original Dreamcast connected to a PC with the coders cable and some special software, or to get some hacked firmwares for some very seldom (and hard to find) CD drives for a PC. No standard PC CD/DVD drive can read original Dreamcast games.
