    Quick Question About Hi-Resing

I know it's now possible to use other textures to get the game somewhat Hi-Res than it actually was but it is also possible to disable the background? I mean i'm kinda trying to rip some sprites and removing the background could help me greatly.

    Is it possible?

If you found the background textures, you could make them black, or give them zero alpha.

Just a suggestion... If you're going to rip the sprites, why don't you just dump the sprites themselves? By the way, what game are you trying to rip? I can't think of any N64 games that use sprites. I remember Paper Mario characters are considered not sprites...

When you dump, it dumps every texture. I think the sprites work as textures themselves. Check out my signature, that's a dumped Paper Mario texture.
