Controller Malfunctioning?!?!?!

Ok... I'm having some serious problems with my version of NesterDC7.1. Everything seems to work find up to the rom loading...which subsequently also works fine..however my DPad and XYABStart buttons are not responding to the game. I can still use the analog stick to mess with the frame skip and the L/R triggers work fine in conjunction with the Dpad and XYABStart buttons for the NesterDC menu system. What's weird is that they have worked in the past and now after some time have stopped working. The controllers work fine in official DC games, and other emulators. The problem arises when I try to play a loaded rom. Any Ideas? I was using 7.1+b at first then went to 7.1 thinking something was messed up with the light gun patch. No such luck. HEEELLLP!!!

Well after searching vigorously for the last week, I finally found a fix to my problem.

Basically I burned 7.1 from an sbi to a single menu disk... where as i should of used a selfboot disk. All is well.
