Chankast Commandline Wrapper

Well, this is my first attempt at anything like this so be gentle. Anyways, attached is a commandline wrapper for Chankast. It requires a few things to function. Everything is hard coded for now:

Windows XP (may work on Windows 2000 but not tested)
Daemon Tools executable must be c:\program files\d-tools\daemon.exe
Chankast must be installed in c:\chankast
Chankast executable must be c:\chankast\chankast_alpha_25.exe

I wrote this app to work with my front end, MameWAH. It takes the full path to the desired game (c:\chankast\roms\test.cdi) which is sent by MameWAH and mounts it in Daemon Tools device 0. Then it starts Chankast, makes it full screen and starts the game. While Chankast is running the wrapper waits for the ESC key. When it is pressed Chankast will exit and the image will be unmounted from Daemon tools.

New Version

Here is a new version that has a cfg file for user configuration. This will allow for different installation folders for Chankast and Daemon Tools.

Glad to hear it. I'm working on a new version (similar to my VPinball wrapper) that has a splash screen so it hide the process until it's complete then I fades out to expose a full screen Chankast. Keep an eye on my download page ( and the News Page) at http://home.comcast.net/~cpviewer .
