N64/PSX USB Adaptor
N64/PSX USB Adaptor Review By Gent

Product Appearance may differ slightly

What is a N64/PSX USB Adaptor? Well simply put:

It is a nicely lower priced alternative to the more "Famously Known" N64 Adaptoid, but has the advantage of using both the N64 and PSX instead of Just the N64 Controller.

Is it better than the N64 Adaptoid? Well that's up to you to decide:

The N64/PSX USB connects your N64 or PSX joypad to your computer via the USB port, allowing you to use them as a PC Pad with your favourite games.

It does not support Force Feedback (Rumble) like the Adaptoid does, but then again the Adaptoid does not allow you to use a PSX controller either...

So if you would like to use both N64 and PSX controllers and are not to fussed about not having Rumble support then this is for you

The N64/PSX USB Adaptor is compatible with USB1.1 standard and works with the following controllers:

N64 Controller
PS Joypad
PS Dual Shock / Steering Wheel

The adaptor supports:

Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows Millennium, Windows XP and Mac OS Operative systems.

It does not support all N64 controllers due to the complexity of the N64 controller, but is reported to work with most original N64 controllers.

At the end of the day it is down to you the user that decides what is best for you and no amount of glamorising will change that fact.

The N64 and even PSX consoles are superb without a doubt and are equally coupled with their own excellent game controllers.

So using the N64/PSX USB Adaptor for either Playstation Or Nintendo 64 emulators, would undoubtable be just as real as you could get and I'm sure you will agree.

Even if only using it for PC games, it will give you that comfortable feeling that you always get from your trusty old consoles.

I have tried the N64/PSX USB Adaptor on the emulators mentioned above and it feels astounding to use the real controllers on their emulated counterparts.

I must be honest, I am a huge Force Feedback fan, and did slightly miss that side of both the N64 and PSX controllers. However, I soon got over it as I played my favourite games with them.

So where can i get this N64/PSX USB Adaptor i hear you say! Well nathell.com's eBay auctions is one place, and its online shop another. You will find the link to the shop just below:

Well I bought this from emu64 off ebay and I just plugged it in for the first time. I plug in my trust Nintendo brand controller, goto settings>game controllers> calibrate, and the thing goes nuts. It jumps around in every direction, and will not register a directional press on the control stick. It recognizes A B Z Start fine, but the control pad is totally worthless. What can I do?

NOTE: This is the same controller I use without problems on my adaptoid.

Thanks
