can someone help me when i put in a gameshark code into PD and play the game the code dont work i have used different codes and the same happens, they dont work :( does anyone have the answer to get em to work??

ok how do i get the gameshark codes i add to a game to work??? sometimes i cant add the code and other times it dont even work and when i try and get codes to work for perfect Dark they dont work i added 1 code to Goldeneye 007 and it worked then i added another code but that one didnt please help
