Is Dolphin faster or should I bother to learn how to run GCube?

When I start it, it gives me the "DBAT WTF" Fatal error. I choose to ignore and continue but it does not proceed beyond that. I noted that the compatibility list says it goes "in game," but does that not apply to the 64 bit Dolphin? Note that I am running the USA version.

When I run it, it always freezes after the first two logos appear and disappear. Is there any way to get around this? I've adjusted the video settings etc., but nothing seems to work. Note that I am talking about the PAL version.

If it is, why is there such a stigma against talking about how to rip GC discs for example? That's the only way you can test to see if an emulation project works in the first place.

Joystick sensitivity: Is there a way to control for how far you press down in a direction on the joystick? The emulator always thinks I'm pressing down all the way, when I only want to press it a little.
