I've tried Project64, and it seems to work okay, but some games run a lot slower on Project64 than 1964! I really like using 1964 better. Is there better compatibilty with Project64? It seems to be still on the top of the best emulators at NGemu.

I want sound for Top Gear Rally. The only way to play this game is to use a No Sound plugin and then you can get all the speed you want (even with a 500MHz system with GeForce 2!) That sucks. Hopefully there's sound in the next version of 1964. Are there any emulators with sound?
