when i start up Mystical Ninja Staring Goemon i get the screen that say the controller pack is damaged or undetectable or some shit like that. I cant seem to get past this screen. how do i fix this?

How come when I play Mario Kart 64 online with a friend it runs at like 0.5 fps? our pings are like 20 - 30 and we are using kailerra that comes with 1964. what going on?
