Help me with loading game saves please

I look in the saves folder and there are many different files of which aren't game saves. I've only made a couple actually saved games and I cannot get them to work when I enter into the load saved state. I'm just wondering why there are files being dumped into this folder. Thanks if you can offer assistance!!

Well, there's the "native" save files, which is the actual data that the cartridge saves when saving within the game.
There's the save states...
Some .eep files too, which i don't quite know what they are for...mostly, i don't remember. But that's what the files are. Leave 'em be.
