I was hoping they would require microsoft to release a modular version of windows and release the API protocols to the public.

well, MS did get nailed on the oem thing... and that could be very good news. imagine someone like dell or gateway totally pushing a hugely bundled linux pc with all of the latest greatest pre installed.....

will be a long slow bloody battle, but at least it's an alternative to redownloading every new MS crap and hacking out all their bs AGAIN (ie, msn, outlook, shadows, blah blah blah).
