Hey!!! IQ!! Thats off topic! The topic is no topic.
/NesterDC? Never heard of it, but I'd assume Netser for the DC from the name.

I thought you had to have the mod chip for DC? Or was that ps2/xbox... I've no clue.
See, this completely useless post is right on topic.

October 17th, 2002, 03:34
no you dont need to mod your DC.
you just need a boot disk.
iq_132
October 17th, 2002, 03:34
Nope.. No need for a modchip on a DC. DC games were supposed to be "uncopyable," but as you've probably heard, that's not exactly true.

NesterDC RULES. Plays 98% of nes roms wonderfully with support for game genie codes, bilinear filtering, stretching to full screen, and full sound.
/me loves nesterdc:inlove: :satisfied

Ha, wow. Just saw that this is the only thread in nesterdc for a looong time.
Is this project still being worked on? If not, why do we have a forum about it? /q's could go in general or whatever.

Well...
The two minutes i've spent on getting a bootable DC Cd would have cost me approximately nothing. It's a student thing... :P

Actually...
I don't have a DC.
Some guys down the hall have one, and are interested in playing some nes, snes, and genesis games.
cooliscool
October 17th, 2002, 04:28
Snes and genesis games are still being optimized and at the present are slow (some run very nicely though), if you want to search, there's a hack of DCGEN (you know, the emulator sega themselves made to use on the sega smash pack).. it's called obsidian. Plays lots of games extremely nicely. ;)
