I have recorded many MPEG / AVI files of my N64 gaming and was wondering if it was possible to rip the music forom an MPEG file to an MP3 file???

Yes it is possible with several softwares, I cant think of any off the top of my head right now but someone will come up with one. But usually it doesnt do a direct conversion, instead it converts to uncompressed WAV and the to MP3. If the audio is still a part of the AVI file then you can use VirtualDub to seperate it to MP3.

Try the program located here, http://www.tmpgenc.net/ when you download it look somewhere in the file menu for MPEG Tools... Then go to simple De-multiplex... You can probably figure out the rest. Good luck (If the audio is in mp1 or mp2 format though, it will stay as mp1 or 2. But it is still only the audio. :)

Well, as I see it, TechTalk is about general troubleshooting, not only hardware issues...
