Try as hard as I can, I can't get it to work--have tried a variety of vid plugins, settings in numerous threads, and I can't get it to do anything but give an error after it loads the rom...

Help!

it is possible that your rom is a bad one, cuz my works just fine, check it with good windows

It simply closes down the program, and gives the WinXP box saying that the program has stopped working...

I"ll try to check the rom. It was a bear to find

Rats!

Got a second rom, still same problem. Here is the exact error usually seen: either something like PJ64 has encountered a *!*&*#$ error and will close, or others like :

"unhandled R4300i opcode at: B0f08a9c sync

Stopping Emulation !"

Help please!

It's actually GoodN64. GoodWindows is just the frontend. If you run your copies of Yoshi's Story through the program, chances are you'll see a or some variant in the name. That's bad, and is often the cause of the error you see (you want to see [!]). In some cases changing the SMCM can fix the crash, but that should already be set properly for you. See this thread for ways to fix the problem.
