Hi all, this is my 1st time using this message board, so nice to meet you all!
Well, I have a question about an issue in Project64 v1.5. It's about the game Zelda Majora's Mask, when I open the Notebook screen it appears totally messed up... it's as the notebook screen was resized to 300X240 or something, but the whole screen stays the same. When I try to scroll down the screen, the only thing that's actually scrolled is that 300X240 region, in the lower left corner of the screen. I can't read anything, neither see the right side of the notebook screen, because it's not scrolled together with that 300X240 region, but I can hear the sound when I try to put the cursor over something in the right side of this screen.
My PC has the following configuration:
PIII 900 MHz 256RAM
Video Board: NVidia GeForce 2 MX 400
PJ64 is being running at 640X480 windowed mode
I can send a screenshot later if my message has confused you :)
Please help me! :)))

Well, here's a screenshot of my problem. The screen you're seeing appears just when I open the notebook screen, it appears OK for a moment and quickly turns to this. This screen is apparently OK, except for the right side showing just the first left part of the screen and the rest is stretched horizontally. In the next post there's another screenshot, when I try to scroll down the people in my notebook, this is the last option in the menu. Note that the only piece of screen that was actually scrolled was the "300X240" bottom left corner (behind the 1st and 2nd day and to the left of the red line showing the actual time of day), I can't see a thing beyond this... note that there's no information about the events anywhere in the screen.
Could anyone know the reason to this problem and some possible solution to it?
Well, I forgot to say that I have a Win98 machine with the latest version DirectX installed. I'm trying to get the latest drivers for my video board (geforce mx400) but I can't find it anywhere, so I'm using the drivers included in the package.
Thanks!!

its because you have the PAL rom. the us or jap rom looks just fine.

There is no way to change or simulate it to NTSC? It's becomming hard to find N64 ROMs over, I'm trying to find Shadowgate64 for some long time and until now all that I have found was dead links...

noo, not downloading the us/jap rom! it should be fixed when you use the newest pj64 rdb.

no its not, this uses a higher res than the rest of the game. you need an NTSC rom.

So, where can I find this rdb in order to try it?

actually, there is a fix for that, use the Jabo's direct3D6 1.3 plugin, that is if your using the 1.4 (or higher?) version now.. unfortunatly I only know 1 way to get that .. download pj1.3

oh no! you're gonna have to download 1.3! (sarcasm). Using older versions is a last resort since you lose all the fixes made since...

nono, just use the plugin from 1.3.. somehow something in the new plugin creates problems in MM then ofcourse you keep switching the damn plugin everytime you play MM :/

Thank you, it really worked! This plugin actually shows all the things in the Notebook screen, but the previous screen (the one with the musical notes) is the one that appears messed up... :)
Well, just changing the plugin when I need to open the Notebook works fine for me, 'course it'll be better if only one plugin work for all screens but it's OK for now ;)
