im finally getting new pc!! im so excited
heres the specs

2.0ghz
512 DDR RAM
GF 4 TI 4600
120 Gig HD
16 X 48 DVD-ROM
40 X 12 X 48 X CDRW
Floppy (who cares)
19' GATEWAY screen
Sound Blaster Audigy
Logitec Pro 3000 pc camera (anyone seen american pie eheheh!)
come with a bunch of software... for school that no one cares about....hehe im excited. August 22 is when i get it :)

i was hoping for one but that shit is expensive plus i already have one its not the kind that comes in a computer it more of a umm..i dont know... about the sound system i already use my stereo so i didnt get one i got a 15' woofer (rockford fosgate) and some nice speakers so im good :)

Make sure the P4 is one with the northwood core (512kB cache). Some resellers are still selling the old willametes, which are much slower at the same frequency, and run hotter.

Oh, and August 22 2003? Mistaken by a year maybe? ;)

u should get an athlon XP instead of p4..... they are way faster & cheaper, but its ur choice :) wouldnt mind having one of those tho :D

P4s are not as compatible with older software. I have had to download patches for some of my software to get it to run on a P4. I never had this problem with AMD cpus. When you have problems......

bad choice getting a pre-built system mann, they solder all the hardware to the slots/sockets so no upgrade is possible, also some other things gateway and the like do to pcs to make them GATEWAY only :(

no they dont ive been able to fully upgrade my computer that i have now.. it was a 465mhz celeron with 32 mb of ram and a 4gig hd when i bought it its not 600mhz 256mb ram and 10gig hd and a gf4 to what i saw nothing was soldered on

Yea i got a packardbell right now, they piss me off cuz its quite hard to upgrade it, i have to change the casing and probably have to buy another internal modem. Oh well @ least im gettin that gr8 PC case thats based on the nice nokia 3310 :D

yeah new monitors can add a quite a bit to the cost of a new PC, I'm looking at getting a new PC, and it was all good, until I realised I had forgotten the monitor, I could get a cheap and nasty monitor, but Mitsubishi DPRO makes more sense, I already sacrificed a Radeon 9700 for a gig of RAM :D

yes! finally! i just got done with gateway and they said it was their fault so their sending me another 256 ram stick cuze i have 256 nowand i wanted 512 and they also sending me the gf 4 ti4600

so this all is clear now..
