Where do all those little roms come from? :P
This is NO rom request, k?
I was just wondering how people got the roms from cardridge to the pc...
I heard Nintendo had to put up those roms for people to have the opportunity to make a backup copy of their games...
But I can't really imagine that...
So...is there some kind of advice bringing the roms from cardridge to pc or what?
Just interested in that...thx :)

There are devices, like the Doctor v64, that can rip the rom from the cartridge. You can still buy them too, but they are expensive.

Well...so that's thje reason there are so many different dumps out there...because different people made them, huh?

Different extensions, v64, z64, etc. are the result of different devices being used to dump the rom. The bad dumps and overdumps exist for a variety of reasons.
