DVD player trick where you burn svcd as a vcd, still svcd

Didn't wanna make the topic too long, but I used to be able to be able to simply multiplex svcd's to mpeg1-video cd format with tmpgenc, and it would essentially be a svcd and then burn the svcd/vcd as a vcd to play on my dvd player that only plays vcd's and xvcd's. BUT the newest version of nero DOES NOT let me burn the simple multiplexed svcd/vcd movie, like it used to, it just tries converting it, which it does very slow, and it does not need to, anyone know what i can do? or have a link to an older version of nero?
