USB Keyboard woes/booting up...

Just wondered if it is possible for a USB keyboard to work during the boot sequence (for example for getting into the BIOS)? I`m sure mine used to do this but having since reinstalled windows it now just sits their with the lights off until the PC has almost finished booting up... surely it is possible? Any ideas people?

The problem is your USB keyboard (unless I'm mistaken) wont function to press delete to get into the bios. Its a kind of paradox. In addition a lot of MB bios don't directly support USB keyboards or mice. I know this is probably a little late, but its usually best to avoid USB mice and keyboards since they have little advantage over PS2.

Too true, the only real advantage about a USB keyboard is its useable with both PCs and Macs. Besides USB mice/keyboards don't really function any faster or more accurately then a reg serial/PS2 mouse/keyboard.

meh, to each his/her own
