Im assuming you are using default plugins.

1.goto Options>Configure Controller Plugin
2.select your game device
3.make sure 'plugged in' box is checked
4.set all the keys
5.press 'ok' and enjoy:)

I tried that but I think u have to go to settings first and select the control device, but the problem is, my controler (propad) isnt their.

Try and goto the control panel and choose gamepads first. Sometimes, it happens, that if you haven't been there, the gamepad isn't shown.

Seems like a longshot... ;) Although if you haven't installed your gamepad or doesn't have the correct version of Dx installed your gamepad won't show up. What version of Dx are you using? Ahh, I just saw that you are using propad, DirectProPad? If that's the case head over to ntpad.com.ar and download the latest driver for your pad, NTpad as the name suggests is NT/2000/XP only...
