Having trouble accessing the cheat menu on Project 64

Hi my name is Bobby and I am trying to figure out a way to access the cheat input on project 64 so I can try something new with the games that I use.

Just start any game, go to the system menu in project64 and then to cheat menu item. A new dialog will pop up, Turn whatever you want on from there.

I found it the other day, and now Im trying to learn to add them to certain other games.
