other one - dunno
www.smiff.clara.net would say so, or u could check the ini to see (or possibly to see why not)

It boots, true, but ingame graphics are still missing.

I doubt the (J) version works any better than the (U) one. The (U) [!] version boots up fine for me. The menus show up perfectly but as soon as you start the game you only see your Joshi but no background. You can even walk around with him a bit blindly. (You will get move-smear effects though).
