Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I was wondering if anyone had any idea of how to map a key for frameskipping or emulation speed to the keyboard or gamepad for an NES emulator? I am looking for something similar to VBAs interface.

Ive used Nestopia, RockNES and FCE Ultra as well as having read their documentation, but I cant seem to find a way to do what Im trying to do. A friend says that the "" key in FCE Ultra is the way, but I tried that and no go.

Can anyone help?

If you meant the tilde key (~), it most certainly works.

Using Nestopia 1.40 default config, it's Tab for speedup. You can change it from the options/input dialog.

You can also change it from speedup to be slower using the options/Timing dialog. By default it is 120 fps, which is 2x. You can go from 30-somethingreallyfast. Alternative speed:
