Majora's Mask - Can't hand over potion

I'm playing the Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask on the Project64 emulator and I can't give the wounded witch her Red Potion. I grab the potion from her sister, follow the monkey to the witch, but Link never gives her the potion. He just drinks it himself. Is it something I'm doing wrong, or is it the emulator's fault?

Someone answered and told me to Z-Target the witch and give her the potion, but when I do that, Link still just drinks it.

Help?

you need to talk to the witch again to give it to her. it's your error that what a gamefaq.com is for

Thanks, but I figured it out. The way you said it is what I thought I was doing wrong; I finished talking to her, then tried to give her the potion. XD

For anyone else with this mistake, you're supposed to give her the potion when she tells you how to do it.

Innocent mistake, glad to see you got to the bottom of it though.

But there's something a bit disturbing about this thread.. i'm getting the feeling you never played OOT! lol
