unable to upload new avatar

Okay like seriously I can't upload an avatar, no matter what I try. I get this error message.

"Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file."

Any help would be appreciated. :3

its broken for the same reason Attachments are, the uploads folder doesn't have write permissions.
