I'm going to get a new PC, so I wanted to ask if Dolphin will work (with good fps)

My System:
AMD64 3000+ (2Ghz, Singlecore)
Windows XP 64x
Nvidea 8800 GT
2 Ghz RAM

I want to play Zelda The Wind Waker (but also other Games :D)

Hope for quick an answer
(And sorry for that bad English...:P )

Don't expect good speed

I thought Dolphin was playing better speeds with 64bit version of XP? I assume that what the above user meant by "64x" ?

Speed completely aside, Wind Waker isn't particularly playable. (Unless you don't mind it freezing every time you get an item and playing without sound.)

Yep, it's 64 bit
What do you mean with no good speed? 2-5fps? 10? I think 2 Ghz is "a bit" slow...
I know that it doesn't work at all, but I don't pay 60€ just to buy a ngc, controller and a memory card.. And I'm in Zelda fever^^ Does Twilight Princes works? :D
Well, I will see it

But you know, that you need to have a NGC and the game to be legally allowed to emulate it!?

By legal definition, do you need the system AND the game or just the game?

Having both.

If without the emulator you cannot play the game you own on your own console, it's illegal.

Hmm, but copyright would only be violated if you acquired the ISO/ROM from an unauthorized source. After all, many of us are using x86 software on, literally, 'Intel CPU emulators' made by AMD without having Intel hardware - nothing illegal about that, unless I've missed something big. If you needed the original hardware to legally use an emulator, emulators would lose practically all of their legal applications.

(I'm not trying to challenge your statement, but it does contradict what I've read about the legality of emulators.)

Why not? It's got to be cheaper than the PC you're going to buy, and you're guaranteed perfect compatibility.

I know.. but I'm broke^^
CPU+Board are presents from my dad, also 1 GB RAM. I need the 8800GT because it's a PCI-E board, my current is a AGP. But you're right, it's cheaper..
Maybe, I'll buy the NGC next month and the 8800GT some time :D

I'm sorry for my bad English (isn't it? :ermm: )
