I have a FAT PS2 console (Yep I got it in 2002) I didn't buy the network adapter when I had the oportunity. So here are a few questions (always huh?)

Sony doesn't seem to sell the original one anymore. Apart from the extortionary $75 from Ebay brokers any ligitimate way to get one?
If not or instead of what about a USB network adapter? There appears to some that use them (and complaints that newer games won't work with the USB based network adapters).
Buying a new PS2 seems kind of wasteful but I suppose it's an option.
Thoughts and sensible suggestions welcome :D

Hmmm yes... well I was just wondering (if another source for them other than FleeBay/Amazon).

Addendum 1:
There any USB network adapters that will work as the network adapter on the PS2? The SLIM units have them built in I noticed. Actually an original PS2 network adapter seems like more fun :D
