Problem with text and objects!

Hi I have been playing harvest moon for a while now but for some reason there is an boxy outline around things like plants and rocks and I'm not sure whats doing it. also in megaman 64 the text is hard to read because it has this box thing as well. if anyone knows whats wrong please let me know.

What are your system specs? I'm fairly sure that's because of an outdated graphics card.

Looks like your your card spectacularly fails to display 2D spites that have alpha.

Either your graphics card drivers are very poor or your card simply isn't up to the task.
