Welcome to GameCube emulation.
Unless you have a dual core system and a 64-bit operating system, don't expect it to be faster than that.
Had you read some of the topics (stickied or otherwise) prior to posting, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

You already did something wrong there, If you use an emulator to play a game to "save money", that means you do no own a gamecube and/or the game. So you're doing something illegal.

Yes, but the real problem was the fact that he admitted it. I'd be willing to bet that the broad majority of posters here fit into that situation, or a similar one(IE: I lost my gamecube, can't find it.)

Hi All,
I also have really slow fps (around 2.8 fps). And yes, I have read the faqs and stickies. But I still wonder if it's slow due to improper settings. I don't have a 64 bit processor but I do have a dual core. My specs are pretty good (imo), so I was a bit perplexed that not having a 64 bit made THAT big a difference. So here are my specs:
HP Compaq nx9420 Laptop
Intel Centrino Duo 2x T2500 (2,00 GHz)
1 Gig 667-MHz DDR2 SDRAM
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics controller with 256 MB Memory (latest video drivers)
100-GB 5400 rpm (or 7200 rpm, not sure)
XP Pro 32
DirectX 9c
So is it normal? Is my laptop caca when it comes to the gc?
Sincerely,

And the current beta only runs on 64-bit Windows, and hence, 64-bit processors.
