Smash Bros. Melee Problem

Hey. First off, these are my specs:
-AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-50
-960 MB Ram
-Nvidia GeForce Go 6150
-Windows Vista

Ok. So I've been having this problem with Dolphin. I loaded up my rom, I checked dynarec, and whenever I choose any mode of gameplay in the game, it freezes after character selection. I don't know why. Another thing is that I can't load GCOS 1.5.dol because whenever I do, Dolphin freezes. I don't use framebuffer either (since it meses up the game screen.

This question has be answered at least 50 times in other threads.

Other than that, the emulator runs slowly, deal with it till they can emulate the GC better.

Ok. ive figured that out, but why can't i open gcos1.5 to make it faster? i follow all the steps in this vid:

but it freezes when i open it. it says booting and it does nothing, and it eventually freezes the emulator
