simple question as that.
if you compare these two links below it appears that the ps2 is more powerful (eventhough it came out earlier).
am i missing something?

The GC is more powerful than the PS2, and it boots games faster along with having better graphics.

Yep the GC has a faster CPU and GPU. You can compare all their specifications here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_2#Technical_specifications) and here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_GameCube#Hardware_specification s).

Faster GPU = more graphics drawn per second = better quality graphics. ;)

Wow, who'd have thought. I've always thought the PS2 to be more powerful than the GC! But then the graphics on GC quite often match or are better than the PS2's...
I never would have thought, I always thought the PS2 to be more powerful than the GC. Guess everyone was wrong!

since the GC is more pwerful than the ps2, is that why u need a faster computer
to run GC emulation?

Not necessarily. Just about any GameCube emulator out these days is not extremely efficient, and speed should improve with future releases, hence why the more recent x64 version is faster than x86 versions.
But what future releases?

Well: pcsx2 boasts a 60% compatability rate, internet play, controller support, frameskip, lots of things.
Comparing it to Dolphin... meh.

Well, I couldn't even get PCSX2 to work on my system. But I don't really need it as I already have a PS2. Still, it would be nice. Plus, I could play all those old classics I took back to GameStation...
Those were the days...
Any help would be appreciated. :)
